Czechia beat Ukraine 2-0 in Shenzhen on Sept. 27, 2026, to win the Billie Jean King Cup for the 12th time and the first time since 2018. Karolina Muchova beat Anhelina Kalinina 6-2, 6-3, and Linda Noskova clinched it against Elina Svitolina, 6-3, 7-6 (5). Only the United States, with 18, has won the women’s team competition more often.
This page collects the competition’s main records: titles by nation, the most successful players and captains, and the team marks that have stood since the first edition in 1963. Figures marked as coming from the ITF’s April 2026 notes were correct before that year’s Qualifiers and can move with every tie.

Winning as player and captain
Billie Jean King is the most successful individual in the competition’s history, with 10 titles, according to the ITF: seven as a player, one of them as a playing captain, and three more as captain. She was on the United States team that won the first edition in London in 1963.
Barbora Strycova’s first year as Czechia’s captain ended with the 2026 title, making her the fourth woman to win the competition as both a player and a captain, after Margaret Court, Chris Evert and King, AP reported. AP credits Strycova with three titles as a player. The ITF’s April 2026 notes record that she was part of all six Czech title-winning seasons from 2011 to 2018 and played in the 2015, 2016 and 2018 finals, winning all four matches she contested in those ties.
Player records
Spain’s Arantxa Sanchez Vicario holds the all-time records for total wins, with 72, and singles wins, with 50, according to the ITF. Conchita Martinez is second on both lists, with 68 and 47. Together they led Spain to 10 finals and won 18 doubles matches as a pair, the most by any partnership.
